EMPTY CENTER

2014 | Installation | Mixed Media | 210 x 230 cm

The majority of my projects depicts – as a basic form- the circle, a round form, which has been used since man acquired the capacity to notice and register his surroundings and his environment. This circular repetition used to assist the settling and the interpretation of everything incapable to be counted, conceived or predicted and of every asymmetric form. This archetypal symbol “awakens” past memories, underlines our connection to nature, attempts to connect the parts to its whole. The medium is always Time, depicting a perpetual effort to reconstruct the image of the world. The parts, the whole, and Time drives constructively and semantically my artistic activity. The center of the round plays a decisive role, consisting the very first beginning of every composition.
